The period of the Pile dwellers is extremely interesting and full of preserved data, as the marshy environment allowed for the preservation of many organic remains on archaeological sites, which are of extraordinary value for understanding their diet and way of life in this period. Given that this period is several thousand years away, it should be emphasized that the dishes are our own interpretation based on preserved data and only an assumption of what and how we could prepare our meals. The most important thing is the understanding of nutrition as the key to the connection between present and past society and the perception of food sources as local and seasonal.
